Our story
After 10 years of causal baking and a lifetime of interest, Karah Newman founded Brookside Baking in 2023 to deliver delicious baked goods to customers part time. An Emergency Room Nurse by trade, bakery enthusiast by choice, every order is handmade in Cambridge, Vermont.
Karah hopes to bring joy to customers while pursuing her passion to craft artisan bakery items for every occasion. When she is not baking, you can find her at the CrossFit gym or spending time with her young daughter and husband.
Our ingredients
Purchased locally, hand crafted into bakery items to order, each batch is made from scratch so they are fresh for the customer. Savory or sweet, Brookside Bakery has you covered.
Artisanal Sourdough Bread
Made from a sourdough starter and baked in a 450 degree Dutch Oven, this bread can be custom made with just about anything the customer requests. Cheddar & Dill, Cinnamon & Brown Sugar, and Jalapeno are some popular requests.
Every order is made personally by the head baker.
